A negative COVID-19 test result is now required for most travellers to New Zealand from 11.59pm (NZDT) on 25 January 2021.
For travellers from the United Kingdom or United States, this came into effect on 15 January 2021 but it now has been extended to almost all other travellers.
A negative test result is not required for travellers from the following regions:
- Antarctica
- Australia
- Cook Islands
- Federated States of Micronesia
- Fiji
- Kiribati
- Marshall Islands
- Nauru
- New Caledonia
- Niue
- Palau
- Samoa
- Solomon Islands
- Tokelau
- Tonga
- Tuvalu
- Vanuatu
- Wallis and Futuna.
